James Pumphrey and Jesse Wood, who have built up an audience in the digital automotive space, have been signed by UTA.
The two worked on video content for Donut Media, with Pumphrey hosting Up To Speed, a popular weekly automotive based video series. Pumphrey and Wood later left Donut Media to co-found Speeed, a new venture that not only includes automotive content, but also other male lifestyle brands. The company launched in August and includes a YouTube channel with 1.16 million subscribers.
The two will be represented by UTA’s Creator practice on endorsements, publishing, news and broadcasting and audio.
“James and Jesse have proven their ability to evolve as entrepreneurs in the male lifestyle space through their latest venture with Speeed,” said Ali Berman, co-head of UTA’s Creator practice. “Their unique approach to content creation positions them as forward-thinking innovators, and we look forward to supporting their strategic growth as they expand their brand into new spaces.”
UTA’s Creator practice, which opened in 2006, also represents Emma Chamberlain, Alix & Ashtin Earle, Madeline Argy, Charli D’Amelio, Jake Shane, Kai Cenat and Alex Cooper.
