Jason Kelce might have made the ultimate dad move at Taylor Swift‘s Miami concert on Friday, Oct. 18. He’s proving that dads can sleep anywhere and everywhere no matter how noisy it is around them.
The 36-year-old retired athlete looked rather sleepy during a very energetic moment at Swift’s concert. His former Philadelphia Eagles teammate Beau Allen shared the iconic snapshot with everyone on his X account. (You can see the photo here.) There was Jason with his eyes firmly shut while his wife, Kylie Kelce, held one of their daughters in her arms. He looked very peaceful while the lights of the stadium blazed around him. “Sometimes I feel like everyone is a sexy baby and I’m a monster on a hill,” Allen wrote as a caption referencing Swift’s 2022 single, “Anti-Hero” from her Midnights album.

With Jason’s new job as an analyst for ESPN, his New Heights podcast with Travis Kelce, and his young family, a dad needs his sleep. Plus, the Kelce family’s growing fame has changed their lives overnight. Travis and Jason’s mom, Donna Kelce, revealed that her family’s lack of privacy is challenging. “We can’t go anywhere really,” she told Glamour on Oct. 3. “If we want to do something, you have to rent out the restaurant or movie theater or whatever. I do get to sneak away every once in a while, and we go to places that nobody knows where they are.”
Donna gushed about her eldest son being a great dad to his three daughters, Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 20 months. “Watching your son be a father is just like, ‘How can they be so tender and be such a maniac out on the field?’” she continued. “Travis is a good uncle, and Jason’s a great dad, and it’s just very heartwarming to know that they have that within them to be very nurturing, very kind, very gentle—especially with girls.”
So, we are going to cut Jason some slack for taking a cat nap (if that’s what he was really doing) during Swift’s concert. Sometimes you just have to grab those fleeting seconds of rest when you can as a parent — and this wasn’t his first Swift concert anyway. We have a feeling the “Shake It Off” singer will forgive him for grabbing a little shut-eye when he could. Dads need a moment of self-care too!
