Jay-Z’s request to dismiss his case as well as to reveal his accuser have been denied. We have the story. The woman who accused Jay-Z & Sean “Diddy” Combs of drugging and raping her when she was 13 years old following an MTV VMA after-party in 2000, can remain anonymous for now. The judge cited the “highly sensitive” nature of her accusations and the Jane Doe’s assertion that she continues to suffer from depression due to the alleged rape, as well as a claim by the woman’s attorneys that Diddy has threatened other alleged victims. The judge plans to revisit the question of anonymity at a later date. Also in the ruling, the judge turned down a request by Jay-Z’s legal team to fast-track a hearing on their motion to dismiss the case against him. The motion to expedite the hearing was tied to a Dec. 13th NBC News interview in which the Jane Doe admitted to inconsistencies and “mistakes” in her narrative of the alleged assault and was contradicted by her own father. The order read: “The court will not fast-track the judicial process merely because counsel demands it.” Jay-Z has vigorously denied all accusations.
