Back in 2012, Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli went their separate ways after 11 years of marriage. Now, the former couple are not only co-parents to their three kids, but they’re helping each other through tough times.
In a video on Instagram, the Beverly Hills 90210 alum got candid about being evacuated from her family home due to the LA fires this week and seeking refuge in Facinelli’s house.
“This is just devastating for everyone,” she said at the beginning. “I just have a deep sadness today.”

Garth then went on to explain that her family is safe and that their home “made it through the night.” “We are feeling so blessed and so fortunate and so lucky,” she added.
“I’m so grateful for Peter for letting us stay at his house, me and all the girls and the dogs and [husband Dave Abrams],” she said. “We’re so grateful for the firefighters and the news reporters and all the people who are volunteering and providing things for the people who lost everything.”
As a reminder, Garth married husband Abrams in 2015 while Facinelli got engaged to his fiancée Lily Anne Harrison in 2020. In 2022, Facinelli and Harrison welcomed their first son, Jack, together. Now, it seems they’re all one big family.

“Peter and his family took us in and have been so kind,” Garth continued in the caption. “I am deeply saddened for our city. and just feel numb. our home was spared but so much to clean up and ready to get active to help our neighbors and friends and fellow Angelinos.”
Abrams has been playing a crucial part in their evacuation too. “Dave has been amazing transporting all our bags and boxes, loading and unloading,” she wrote. “Just keep everyone here who is suffering in your heart and prayers.”
“This will effect people differently, so reach out, and offer to help, it really does mean so much,” she ended. “Thank you for all the love that is being sent this way🩵.”
In the comment section, Garth’s followers are sending their love. “This is all so devastating to watch! I’m so glad you and your family is safe and your home is ok. Sending hugs,” wrote one commenter. “I love you Jennie. Thank God I have been worried about you guys since yesterday ❤️ stay strong,” echoed another.
A day earlier, Garth had shared with fans her appreciation for LA as she evacuated. “I truly love this city. I love it’s insane beauty, the inspiring people who beautifully collide and form a community with so many different kinds of incredible people,” she wrote on Instagram. “And I love the life it’s given me by allowing me to live here. I’m eternally grateful for every moment of this life and all the people in it. so so grateful.”
“I could do without the fires and floods and earthquakes,” she joked. “The people here are strong and resilient. we will get through this.”
Our thoughts are with Garth, Facinelli and their family and this troubling time. Kudos to them for sticking by each other no matter what.
