Jennifer Lopez, a longtime fan of the popular Western crime drama Yellowstone, had a special moment this past Friday evening when she met Kevin Costner, one of the stars of the series.
The 55-year-old singer and actress and the 69-year-old actor were seen enjoying drinks together at the Kemo Sabe store in Aspen, Colorado, a renowned destination for Western fashion.
Lopez, who had been in Aspen for several days leading up to Christmas, was spotted earlier that evening shopping with her 16-year-old child, Emme, in true Western style.
Lopez, who had come to Aspen to celebrate the holidays with her family, including her mother Guadalupe and sister Lynda Lopez, appeared to be enjoying some quality time in the famous ski town.
Meeting Kevin Costner, one of the stars of her favorite show, Yellowstone, was undoubtedly a highlight of the trip for Lopez. Although it's unclear how much time they spent chatting, the moment was undoubtedly special for the actress.
Costner, who is known for his legendary roles in films such as Dances with Wolves, appeared relaxed with his signature salt-and-pepper mustache and soul patch. He was likely staying warm inside the store, wearing a brown scarf and black jacket as he mingled with other visitors.
Lopez's passion for Yellowstone
Lopez's love for Yellowstone has been well-documented, and it seems that her admiration for the show has led to some interesting reactions from her past partners. Specifically, her ex-husband Ben Affleck has been open about how Yellowstone made him uncomfortable, especially Lopez's fondness for the romance between Rip Wheeler (played by Cole Hauser) and Beth Dutton (played by Kelly Reilly).
In a March 2023 appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast, Ben shared an amusing yet revealing anecdote about Lopez's fascination with the show.
"Jen showed me a clip off of Instagram of a monologue [Reilly] has in the car with the kid about the ways to become rich," Ben recalled. "And then [Jen] was like, 'I love this story of these two.' I'm kind of disturbed by the fact that my wife really likes Yellowstone."
