Jennifer Lopez spent her first Christmas amid her divorce from Ben Affleck surrounded by family.
The “Let’s Get Loud” hitmaker, 55, took to Instagram on Wednesday, December 25, to share photos from her snowy holiday with sister Lynda Lopez, her child Emme and her niece, Lucie. Emme’s twin, Max, did not appear in the images. In the first snap, J. Lo sat on a bench between the teens as they stayed warm in thick coats and hats and held hot beverages.
J. Lo also shared a video of the snow falling outside their window, as well as a selfie with Lynda, 53. Another snap showed Emme and Lucie, both 16, sitting in matching plaid pajamas in front of a Christmas tree and surrounded by presents. Finally, the Atlas star shared a photo of Lynda, also in plaid pajamas, standing by the window and flashing a huge smile.
In her caption, J. Lo simply added two snowflakes and a snowman emoji.
Meanwhile, Lynda took to her own Instagram to share photos and video footage of their scenic views. “When your Christmas morning view is an actual Christmas card,” she captioned the post. “So grateful for family, love, and beautiful holiday days. Merry Christmas!!”
On her Instagram Stories, Lynda shared a photo of the gorgeous fireplace and thanked her sister for celebrating with her. “Thank you to my sis for the most beautiful Christmas Day,” she wrote.
Though J. Lo did not appear to celebrate Christmas with estranged husband Ben, 52, the two were spotted meeting up for lunch at Soho House in Los Angeles on Sunday, December 22, where they reportedly exchanged gifts. The “Jenny From the Block” songstress looked casual for the outing in an oversized white and black fair isle cardigan, jeans and platform shoes, as seen in photos published by The Daily Mail. Ben opted for a light blue sweater under a black wool coat, jeans and blue Nike sneakers.
For his Christmas gift to J. Lo, Ben “purchased an autographed Marlon Brando book” from Mystery Pier Books in West Hollywood, California, the store’s owner, Louis Jason, told Page Six, adding that the Good Will Hunting star bought “a few books.”
A source told the outlet that “Ben gifted Jennifer with the book because she’s a fan, plus her Super Bowl bodysuit was inspired by Marlon Brando.”
The insider added, “The gifts were mostly for each other’s kids, but they did exchange a few small things for each other as well. It was nothing over the top, but more so a gesture to celebrate the holidays. Ben and Jennifer have remained amicable despite the ongoing divorce proceedings.”
In Touch first reported on May 15 that Ben and J. Lo were “headed for a divorce” and that the Air actor had already moved out of their home in Beverly Hills.
“The writing is on the wall – it’s over,” a source exclusively revealed, adding that Ben was “not to blame.”
J. Lo filed divorce paperwork on August 20, the second anniversary of their second wedding ceremony at his estate in Georgia, and listed their date of separation as April 26.
