Jennifer Lopez could be using "family time" to rekindle Ben Affleck fire

We are nearing the three-month mark of Jennifer Lopez filing for divorce from Ben Affleck, putting a merciful end to what was a media circus that spanned several months. Reports had their marriage as practically dead by April, but the divorce was drawn out for way too long, putting a target on both of their backs.

Since Lopez filed for divorce, the media has continued to track every move that her and Affleck have made. Although they have gone their separate ways, their personal lives remain intertwined for one main reason: their children. Although the couple never had children together, Affleck's three children and Lopez's two grew very close as a family during their marriage.

It's for that reason that Lopez practically refuses to "give up" on Affleck. According to an insider for Heat World, Affleck wants to distance himself from Lopez, but she doesn't want that.

Ben has been trying to distance himself from Jen, but she just won't let him. She's been showing up at the same events as him and demanding they continue doing group activities with the kids, and if he doesn't agree then he's the bad guy. Now, she's pushing for them to do joint celebrations for Thanksgiving and Christmas, saying it's for the children, but Ben isn't buying it's just about them.

If the report is to be believed, it sounds like Lopez is still holding out some hope that she can iron out her differences with Affleck. The divorce hasn't been finalized yet, so there is time. But by most accounts, Affleck is just about over it.
