Jennifer Lopez got an unexpected Christmas gift from Ben Affleck amid divorce

This holiday season, the unexpected happened when Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck exchanged thoughtful gifts despite their ongoing divorce proceedings. According to Page Six, Affleck went above and beyond in selecting a gift for JLo, purchasing "an autographed Marlon Brando book" from Mystery Pier Books in Los Angeles. 

Per the publication, the store owner revealed that Affleck bought several titles, and it is believed that he arranged to give her the presents even though they spent the holiday apart. A source shared, "The gift was a nod to her Super Bowl bodysuit, which drew inspiration from Marlon Brando." While their gift exchange included larger gestures for their children, they also made time for personal gifts as part of their commitment to maintaining an amicable relationship. "It was nothing over the top, but more so a gesture to celebrate the holidays," the insider noted. 

This heartwarming news comes shortly after reports indicated that Jennifer Lopez and Affleck can't entirely sever their ties completely. An insider explained that both intend to remain involved in each other's lives, especially concerning their children. "Ben and Jennifer are still connected and they do communicate when it involves their kids," the source elaborated. 

Celebrating Christmas miles apart

On Christmas Day, Ben Affleck spent the holiday with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and their three children—Violet, 19; Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12. Notably, the children voiced their desire for their parents to be together during the holidays, and Affleck and Garner obliged. A source stated, "Jen truly just wants her kids to be happy. She will continue to make sure that they spend time together as a family and include Ben." 

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez celebrated Christmas in Aspen, Colorado, with her twins, her sister, her niece, and her mother, showcasing her family's traditions during the festive season.

Lopez and Emme were photographed enjoying drinks. Lopez wore a stunning brown fur coat and jeans, while Emme wore a green jacket over a cream-colored hoodie. Lopez's manager, Benny Medina, and her mother, Guadalupe Rodriguez, accompanied them. 

According to the photo agency, Lopez and her group enjoyed their morning in Aspen by stopping in a coffee shop and doing Christmas shopping.

Lopez shared a video of her Christmas on social media. “Merry Christmas Eve to you and yours," she captioned the clip, which showed her wearing a white shirt and brown sweatpants. The video also showed her surroundings, including her friends and family enjoying each other's company.

Before leaving for Aspen, Lopez and Ben Affleck met to celebrate the holidays and exchange gifts. Their children were reportedly present at the small celebration.
