Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck would like to wrap up their divorce, but there’s one major asset that is lingering from their marriage: the $68 million Beverly Hills estate. The 55-year-old actress is still living in the home while Affleck has moved on to a $20.5 million mansion in the Pacific Palisades. Now, the slow real estate market reportedly has Lopez in her feelings.
“She can’t wait to get the hell out of the house when she can and assumed it would have happened by now and someone would have snapped it up, especially after the renovations and personal touches she added, but nothing’s happened,” an InTouch Weekly insider noted. “Of course, she’s been told it’s only a select group of buyers who would be interested and have that kind of money, but it’s becoming increasingly frustrating being there.”

The former couple had a buyer in September who offered $64 million for the property, per TMZ. Affleck and Lopez were willing to take the financial hit and let their marital home go, but the offer fell through after a death in the family forced the buyers to back out of escrow. They are motivated to sell the home, but there doesn’t seem to be a bidding war for a 38,000-square-foot estate.
Celebrity realtor and Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles star Josh Flagg explained to People in July that because Lopez and Affleck listed the estate “relatively close to what they paid for it,” likely “means they really want to move the property.” He added, “With that said, I’m also going to take [a guess] that they’re not going to walk out of this making money. They’re going to either break even or take a small loss.”
The property has been languishing on the real estate market for over six months now and it’s no wonder Lopez “feels trapped.” The InTouch Weekly source noted, “The place still has imprints of Ben everywhere.” Lopez can’t move forward until the house is sold and it’s unclear how long that will take. That also means that her divorce from Affleck will remain on hold until a sale is finalized.
