Jennifer Lopez Is Reportedly ‘Trying Something New’ to Deal With Ben Affleck Divorce

Despite numerous outlets claiming that Jennifer Lopez is looking for a hot, young man after her divorce from Ben Affleck, insider sources are now claiming something entirely different. In fact, sources recently spoke to the DailyMail, claiming that Lopez is doing something quite unique during her recent divorce: focusing on herself.

Over the years, it almost seemed as though Lopez jumped from relationship to relationship, marriage to marriage. In fact, many fans have made fun of this phenomenon. (However, something to keep in mind is that we don’t know her journey personally, just what is shared to the public!)

Now, with divorcing Affleck, sources claim she’s focusing not on love, but herself, and a killer comeback.

“Jen, like most people, would love to have love in her life again,” the source said to the outlet. “But the one person she has to give time to right now is herself. If something presents itself, then obviously life and love will find a way, but she isn’t looking to get into any new relationships.”

“She is focused on her work and wants 2025 to be the year she gets back to being herself. She isn’t actively looking to date right now and is still processing losing Ben again,” they added. “She likes being in a relationship almost immediately after one ends, but right now, she is trying something new and seeing if that works out for her better.”

For those who don’t know, Lopez and Affleck met on the set of the film Gigli. They started dating soon after and got engaged by the end of 2002. In 2003, they postponed their wedding and then broke up days before, due to the paparazzi and pressure they faced, and were broken up by 2004.

Then, in 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance. A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony. Then, after months of speculation, per TMZ, Lopez filed for divorce on Aug. 20, noting the date of separation is April 26, 2024.
