Jennifer Lopez's reunion with her Maid in Manhattan co-star Ralph Fiennes 22 years later leaves fans in shock

Jennifer Lopez's turbulent 2024 is behind her and after celebrating the New Year in the mountains of Aspen, she was seen at an event related to the Palm Springs International Film Festival, where she had an unexpected reunion with Ralph Fiennes, who was her co-star in Maid In Manhattan, with whom she was seen again 22 years after the film's release.

The film is considered a fan favorite of JLo's, with a box office success despite not having good reviews from critics, with a plot in which Fiennes plays a Senate candidate who falls in love with Lopez's character, a hotel maid, whom he mistakes for a socialite.

Fans were shocked to see them pose at the 10 Directors To Watch And Creative Impact Awards event hosted by Variety magazine at the Parker Palm Springs Resort: "Maybe I'm crazy, but I would love for these two to be together," was one of the comments that could be read on social media.

The interaction was emotional, Ralph Fiennes dedicated a few words to Jennifer Lopez that brought her to tears in her speech, although he also took time to joke about the plot of their first film: "We really must stop meeting in hotels like this," while on his Instagram account he suggested a professional reunion with a possible Maid in Manhattan 2

"I can't thank you enough Ralph Fiennes for your beautiful words and for our little maid in Manhattan reunion today. It was wonderful to see you. You brought tears to my eyes. (That's why I was blubbering throughout my speech hahaha)

"I love you. Thank you so much... Working with you was one of the best moments of my career so far. I say so far because I hope I get to do it again someday soon for Maid in Manhattan 2... You never know...", Jennifer Lopez wrote on her Instagram account along with a video of Ralph's speech.

During his speech, Ralph paid tribute to the determination with which JLo has lived, with a creative message in which he made reference to the plot of Maid in Manhattan.

"She hid a kind of superpower. Behind that maiden's mask was a force, a force of creativity, a force of action, something so powerful that it could not be stopped. An unstoppable force came out of this humble and simple hotel maid, and this maid, in fact, possessed extraordinary wings that unfolded and she flew," he said in part of the speech he dedicated to Jennifer Lopez, where he added that already in real life, she illuminates and inspires the lives of so many people, while praising her for being a beautiful actress, who is an "incredible dancer and singer."
