Jeremy Clarkson opens his new pub The Farmer's Dog
Jeremy Clarkson often finds himself at the centre of controversy. The former Top Gear star announced the opening of his pub, The Farmer's Dog, earlier this year - but now it is garnering complaints.
Disgruntled patrons have been moaning about the prices of the meals on offer. For example, if you want to dine on steak, carrot, mash and cabbage at the pub it'll cost you £28.
Clarkson explained the reasoning behind his pricing when writing for the Sunday Times. He shared that he is trying to keep the produce as "British as possible" - but doing so comes with some difficulties.
For some ingredients bought domestically he's having to pay "ten times more" compared to options for importing it. The Amazon Prime presenter asked people to "be kind" about the prices at the pub, however customers haven't kept this in mind when sharing their thoughts on social media.
The pub's social media page shared a snap of the meal, captioning it: "Thanks Chef! Here’s a special for you..Diddly Squat reared fillet steak with fresh carrots, mash and local black cabbage all for £28 pounds…"

In the comments, one user asked: "Where is the rest of it?" Another added: "For £28 great British pounds I'd want a little more food but looks awesome."
A third commented: "What is that that’s two mouth fulls?"
However, others argued that £28 was good value for money. One poster wrote: "Why the issue with £28? That's about the going rate for a Fillet Steak in any restaurant."

Someone else echoed: "People are acting shocked by a fillet steak for £28??? Very reasonable especially when you know exactly where the beef came from."
There are plenty of other cheaper options on offer at The Farmer's Dog if the steak dish isn't to your liking or you don't want to pay £28 for it.
The pub's social media account also showed a grazing menu, consisting of "beer snacks". It showed items such as bread for £4, cheese for £7, sausages for £7, pork scratchings costing £4, sasusage roll for £6 and a pickled egg which could be bought £1.25.
