Jeremy Clarkson has sparked fury after his brand-new pub announced restrictive new rules ahead of the festive season.
The 64-year-old broadcaster opened his Oxfordshire pub, The Farmer’s Dog, back in August. Since it opened, fans have flocked to the eatery to try out the stellar menu and be in with a chance to meet the man himself.
The dad-of-two's new business venture has also attracted its fair share of famous patrons within the first three months of opening its doors.
This has included talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and Australian soap star Natalie Imbruglia as well as a surprise gig from the legendary Irish ban, The Corrs.
Clarkson’s early success is so great that the motoring journalist has already applied for an extension to accommodate the growing number of customers.

But its overwhelming success has come at a cost, with the owner now forced to instil additional rules for the eatery ahead of the Christmas period.
Diners hoping to book a table at the pub during the Christmas week are being met with the news that they can only stay at their table for an hour.
The booking message for a 7.30pm table reads: “Please note your table is required back by 20.30. Please check the confirmation email for more details.
The pub promises guest will receive a £40 per-head three course feast, served with Clarkson’s own Hawkstone Larger. Hopeful punters were left heartbroken at the prospect of rushing their festive meal with loved ones.

It didn’t take long before fans flooded to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their disappointment online.
One user fumed: “How are we expected to down three courses and drinks in an hour?” as another slammed the Grand Tour host for “fleecing his customers again.”
However, a third believed the time-sensitive meal would still be worth a visit. They argued: “By all accounts the food there is fantastic. And best of all it supports our ailing farming industry.”
Chiming in with Clarkson’s championing of British rural issues, The Farmer’s Dog boasts a scrumptious menu “packed with local ingredients from British farms.”
This mission statement even extends to his tasty drinks on offer, serving only British booze and opting for homegrown alternatives to the popular fizzy drinks like Coca-Cola.
For the festive main meal, lucky diners can expect a classic locally sourced turkey breast, served with pigs in blankets, sage & onion stuffing and heaps of roast potatoes.
As the festive season approaches, customers can only avoid the dining restrictions when booking a later table from 8.30pm onwards.
But Prime Minister Sir Kier Starmer won’t need to worry about getting a table at the go-to eatery after the Top Gear host banned the Labour leader shortly after it opened back in August.
Clarkson’s feud with the government has only grown after Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced an end to inheritance tax exemptions for British farmers in her Autumn budget.
