Jessica Simpson’s husband Eric Johnson looks solemn on LA stroll without wedding ring as couple ‘heads for divorce’

Eric Johnson headed out on a walk without his wedding ring present, which is now adding fuel to the fire amid speculation.

Jessica Simpson's husband Eric, 45, looked rather solemn on a stroll around Los Angeles last week (November 14), but eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot that he was without his wedding ring.

Stepping out in some gray jeans and a black hoodie, teamed with some sneakers, Eric rocked a baseball cap and some sunglasses while he embarked on his walk around the neighborhood.

One snap sees Eric without his wedding ring, with his ring finger on his left hand completely bare.

And just two days before these snaps were taken, Eric was seen out having ditched his wedding ring once again.

On Tuesday, November 12, the NFL alum was spotted taking a stroll with his wedding ring nowhere to be found.

This comes amid rumors that Eric and his wife Jessica, 44, are headed for divorce.

Jessica and Eric got married in 2014 and share three children together, Maxwell 'Maxi' Drew, 12, Ace Knute, 11, and Birdie Mae, 5.

The couple is currently embroiled in split rumors, with it thought that their marriage could be on the rocks.

Jessica failed to mention her husband on social media for their 10th wedding anniversary back in July, which ramped up speculation further.

And she recently shared a cryptic post while recording music in Tennessee on Instagram, writing: "This comeback is personal, it's an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve."

HEADED FOR DIVORCE

One insider told The U.S. Sun this week that divorce has been on the cards for the pair for quite some time.

"Jessica and Eric have had problems for years, even before the pandemic. It's sadly no surprise they could be heading for divorce," the insider said.

"Eric has often left Jessica alone at night to go out partying at bars, he didn't ever seem to care if anyone recognized him or not. 

"She is sober now, so that's not her scene at all.

"He was even spotted at the likes of Hyde on Sunset, known for a younger crowd and celebrities, and didn't wear his ring."

Speaking to In Touch back in April, a source revealed that Eric "has had one foot out the door for a long time".

HIGH-MAINTENANCE WIFE

They added that the couple is on the rocks because Jessica is "high-maintenance and difficult to live with".

"He complains about it all the time," the source went on.

The insider then noted, that Eric "loves Jessica deep down and wants their marriage to work".

Adding, "But it’s like she cares more about the public’s perception of her than her marriage. If she doesn’t start looking at the big picture, she may lose Eric."
