Jimmy Butler Embroiled In Heated Financial Battle With Mother Of His 3 Children

NBA star Jimmy Butler has found himself in a different kind of court battle. Daily Mail reported on Friday (Jan. 10) that Butler, is 35, has entered into a financial battle with Kaitlin Nowak, his former flame and mother of his three children, over child support.

Legal papers obtained by the outlet state that Butler is currently paying Nowak $55,000 a month in child support. Butler previously came to a partial agreement with Nowak on their three children in December 2023, stating that the athlete would temporarily pay for a nanny. Now, Nowak is asking for an additional $10,000 per month in support for a nanny, which has Butler scratching his head. The child support was sealed and confidential until the Miami Heat player opted for a court hearing to challenge the nanny motion.

“It must be pointed out that the Father and Mother were never married,” the court filing reads. “Mother is not entitled to live as if she is married to a National Basketball Association (NBA) player… Mother is unemployed and refuses to seek employment. With one child in preschool and Father exercising equal timesharing with the older children, there is no legitimate reason for Mother to insist both on a nanny and that Father pay for that nanny.”

“The parties have attended mediation in an effort to resolve all outstanding issues, but the mother refuses to waive her demands that the father pay for the nanny on top of the tremendous amount of child support he is paying.”

Jimmy Butler and Kaitlin Nowak began their relationship in 2019. From there, the two welcomed three children into the world: Rylee was born in October 2019, Bryan was born in 2022, and then 2023 saw the birth of their third child, Kian.

Kaitlin Nowak has since responded to the news in a roundabout way. As the news spread across social media, there have been criticisms of both Butler and Nowak, with Kaitlin’s most recent post on Instagram becoming a hotspot for netizens decrying the woman’s child support requests. Some accounts dragged the woman for asking more money while “flying on private jets,” while other posts insisted that Butler was to blame for picking someone who seemingly saw him as a meal ticket.

Nowak addressed the comments with a snarky post to her IG Stories, stating, “Despite the really thought-provoking discussion taking place in my comments, let’s move that to literally any photo other than the ones with our children in them. Better yet, you can join the men in my DMs expressing their grievances. Keep up the great work, guys; loving the energy!”

Jimmy Butler has yet to acknowledge or address the news publicly.
