Jimmy Kimmel Turns Serious With Special Message Just For Trump Voters

3 weeks ago 3

Jimmy Kimmel departed from his usual gag-filled monologue on Tuesday with a special message he asked his viewers to share with the Donald Trump supporters in their lives.

He admitted early on that his message might be lost on at least some in that group.

“If you’re one of those people who think Democrats are controlling the weather or Beyonce eats baby skin, forget it,” he said. “This is not for you.”

Then, he spent the rest of the nearly 20-minute segment speaking directly to Trump supporters, often showing the former president in his own words with excerpts from speeches many of his fans may have never seen.

That included a series of increasingly incoherent rambles against wind power, with Trump declaring in one that “the wind is bullshit.”

“The wind is bullshit,” Kimmel repeated. “Honestly, do you know anyone who speaks like that? The people you know who think the wind is bullshit are crazy people standing on a street corner yelling at cars. He’s completely preoccupied with nonsense.”

Kimmel then tried an experiment, asking Trump supporters to close their eyes and listen to another ramble ― this one a bizarre aside where the former president explained why he would rather be electrocuted in a sinking boat than get in the water with a shark.

“I will take electrocution every single time, do we agree?” Trump concluded.

“No. We don’t,” Kimmel fired back. “Because we don’t know what you’re talking about. And we don’t know why you are talking about it. Aren’t you supposed to be running for president? Aren’t you supposed to be worried about important topics?”

Kimmel concluded by telling Republicans they wouldn’t be alone if they voted against Trump, and showed off a wall of images of prominent GOP figures who’ve come out against the former president, including former Vice President Mike Pence, who said he isn’t endorsing Trump.

“Who would’ve ever thunk it?” Kimmel said. “It’s like if milk turned on cookies.”
