On the latest episode of his eponymous podcast, Joe Budden called Drake "a selfish, lying, manipulative, sack of shit."
On the Wednesday, Nov. 27 episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, which is currently only available for Patreon subscribers, Budden made some serious allegations against Drake after he filed two legal briefings against his label, Universal Music Group (UMG). In the first of the two filings, Drake accused UMG and Spotify of artificially inflating the popularity of Kendrick Lamar's diss track "Not Like Us," and in the second he accused the label of defamation for not prohibiting or censoring the "predator" and "pedophiles" lyrics in the track.
While discussing the legal briefings, Budden's co-host suggested Drake is readying up for a legal battle because it's the first time he's faced adversity since gaining mainstream success. "Or he's a selfish, lying, manipulative, sack of shit who has made enemies for fifteen years," Budden said in the clip, which can be seen below. "Now, we're here at the fucking boiling point."
Budden, who has beefed with Drake in the past and released two tracks directed at him in 2016, made further allegations regarding Drake's behavior behind the scenes.
"You've been behind the scenes being the biggest sack of shit you can possibly be," he continued. "I'm not here to fucking play games with you n***as. N***as know what it is out there! That's it. And he's fucking white. And he's Jewish. And he had too much dip on his chip. You have been behind the scenes hitting n***a's baby moms, sending money... Yo dog, you've been sending messages to this n***a's wife, talking shit about fucking, 'Ayy, but this n***a's mom died, that's cool but where my beat at, n***a? I don't give a fuck that your mom died."
It's unclear who Budden was alluding to, but one of the artists that Drake is currently involved in a beef with is producer Metro Boomin, with whom he has not worked since "More M's" from the 2022 album Her Loss.
"Dog, this n***a's been a sack of shit behind the scenes and because he got fans, and had Lucian [Graingeev], everybody just [got] to turn a blind eye," Budden said. "The blind eye days are done. That's done with now. I don't want to hear none of that shit now."
Drake filed the legal briefings shortly after the arrival of Kendrick Lamar's surprise new album GNX. It remains to be seen if either of the cases will make it to trial, but he's added another complicated wrinkle to his ongoing feud with K Dot even if it doesn't go anywhere.
