John Krasinski Recalled Experiencing An “Unbelievable Head Trip” When He Realized His Daughters Had No Idea He Was Famous And Thought He Was An Accountant

Well, in spite of how famous John is, he revealed back in 2022 that his young daughters — whom he shares with wife Emily Blunt — weren’t quite as aware of their father’s status.

The longtime couple are parents to Hazel, who is now 10, and Violet, 8.

Naturally, the young girl asked her dad if the fan was someone he worked with. When he said no, she replied, “Why are you lying to me? … He just said he knows you from the office?”

Now, John has reflected on the hilarious exchange with his daughter, telling People this week that it was “pretty wild” for his kids to process his fame.

John admitted that he found it challenging telling his kids about his job after they grew accustomed to the idea of him as an accountant.

“[I] just thought, Wow, what an unbelievable head trip that is. And [Hazel] hadn’t seen the show. I think I was an accountant in her eyes,” he said.

“It’s a pretty wild thing for them to process,” he added.
