Jonas Brothers pay tribute to late One Direction star Liam Payne in concert

The Jonas Brothers have paid tribute to Liam Payne following the singer's shock death last month.

Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas sang a rendition of the One Direction hit song Night Changes as they performed in concert in California on the weekend.

Nick, 32, who is believed to have been friends with Payne, who died at the age of 31, took the lead with the song and began singing its verses in front of cheering and emotional fans.

"When @Jonas Brothers cover Night Changes we are all in tears," one fan wrote underneath a video of the cover and tribute they shared on TikTok.

In the footage, fans could be heard singing the track alongside the Jonas Brothers.

"Wait I forgot Nick and Liam where close friends 🥺," a TikTok user wrote underneath the post.

Another added: "You can already tell nick was emotional about it."

It comes after Rita Ora paid tribute to the late star at the star-studded 2024 MTV EMAs.

The pair had collaborated on the song For You together.

"I just want to take a moment to remember someone very, very dear to us," she began in her speech.

"We lost him recently and he was a big part of the MTV world and my world. Liam Payne was one of the kindest people that I knew.

"He brought so much joy to every room he walked into and he left such a mark on the world."

She added that the One Direction star "had the biggest heart and was always the first person to offer help in any way that he could".

A video montage then played to cheers from the audience, alongside one of Payne's songs.

The former One Direction star died after falling from the third floor of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina, according to state police, as reported by CNN.
