The star of a popular Netflix series has died after recently revealing he was being treated for a mysterious disease.
José de la Torre, died on Thursday aged 37 after succumbing to an illness, Montilla Digital reported.
The actor, originally from Montilla, Córdoba in Spain, was best known for his role in the streaming series Toy Boy.

Just months ago, he revealed to fans that he had been battling a “serious disease”, but did not share what he had been diagnosed with.
The hit Netflix series Toy Boy was a wild success in Spain and was renewed for a second season after it’s premier.
The thriller series followed the journey of a male stripper who woke up next to a corpse before being jailed for a crime he never committed.
De la Torre played Ivan, the founder and owner of Inferno nightclub. He also performed as one of the head strippers.
In the series, the club starts struggling financially, leading Ivan to become involved in crime and drug dealing, a decision that lands him in trouble with the law and the mob.
His death has sent shock waves through the community.
Spanish actor and singer Lolita Gonzalez Flore posted a tribute online, saying: “Your departure hurts me, it hurts me, and the pain of those who loved you hurts me, I didn’t have time to love you, but I did have time to know you.”
“Heaven awaits you with open arms, how sad, very soon you are gone very soon.”
De la Torre fell in love with TV and cinema when he was a child.
“From a very young age, I found solace in cinema - though not so much in acting, at least not at first,” he told Montilla Digital.
“I was a child who couldn’t stop watching films, purely for the joy of it.
“But that captivated me and planted the seed that would later grow into my desire to pursue it as a career.”
De la Torre is survived by his parents Antonio de la Torre Hidalgo and Maria Jose Delgado Espejo, and his sister Marina.
