Justin Bieber has given a surprising explanation for one alarming detail spotted on his social media account that had fans in a panic.
The singer follows over 800 people on his Instagram account. But some eagle-eyed fans noticed a shock change to his 'following' list – his wife Hailey Bieber was no longer on it.
"Guys please no. justin unfollowed hailey, i'm crying," one person reacted on X (formerly Twitter).

Shortly after fans noticed he had unfollowed his wife of more than six years, Justin took to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday to shut down speculation they had split.
The singer addressed the rumours with just 15 words on a plain white background.
"Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife," he told his 294 million followers in all capital letters.
"S--t is getting suss out here," he claimed.

The Baby singer seemed to double down on his claim that all was well by posting pics of him and his wife holidaying at the snow to Instagram.
In one snap, the pair looked stylish as ever in their skiing gear as they hit the slopes.
In another sweet photo, Justin looked over smiling at his wife from across a table as they appeared to be out at a restaurant together.

The singer also included photos with his five-month-old baby son from the trip.
Justin has been married to Hailey (née Baldwin) since September 2018.
The couple welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues together in August 2024.
In recent months, rumours have been swirling the couple are on the brink of divorce.
Hailey addressed her marriage constantly being under public scrutiny in a July 2024 interview with W Magazine.

The model told the outlet at the time: "People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one."
The star addressed people speculating her marriage was "falling apart" and her and Justin "hate each other".
"It's like people don't want to believe that we're happy.
"I used to try to act like it hurts less and less. I've tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, that this is what's going to be said and this is how people are going to be," she continued.
"But I realise that it doesn't actually ever hurt any less."
