Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday said during her concession speech that she told President-elect Donald Trump there will be a peaceful transition of power.
"We must accept the results of this election," Harris said from the stage at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
She continued, "Earlier today, I spoke with President Trump and congratulated him on his victory. I told him that we will help him and his team with that transition, and we will engage in a peaceful transfer of power."
