Kanye West allegedly fears returning stateside due to the mountain of lawsuits filed against him.

The Daily Mail reports that sources close to the situation detail that Ye’s trip abroad with wife, Bianca Censori, isn’t entirely for leisure, but instead to avoid legal action pending against the musician.

“Kanye’s reasoning for not being [in America] has nothing to do with his children and has everything to do with the multiple lawsuits that he is facing in the States,’ the sources allege. “With all this stuff with Diddy, Kanye is terrified.”

And while Kim Kardashian has previously stated that it felt like she was raising their kids “alone” on the What in the Winkler Podcast, sources state that West isn’t staying away from them on purpose—it’s just a byproduct of the artist avoiding the pending legal issues weighing on him.

“Kanye loves his kids more than life itself and has said this many times. He speaks to them and Facetimes with them often. North is a daddy’s little girl,” the source added. “[West] maintains his innocence, but this is what he’s keeping out of the country for.”

Over the past year, beginning in June 2024, West has been spotted in Tuscany, Paris, Russia, Japan, and, most recently, in Maldives, where he celebrated Censori’s 30th birthday. As he has been globetrotting, West was hit with suits accusing him of sexual harassment, sexual assault, creating hostile work environments, and more. West being out of the States has also led to three of his businesses going into default, with opposing counsel stating that they are “looking forward to collecting a judgment.”

One lawsuit arrived in October 2024 from Lauren Pisciotta, one of Ye’s former assistants. Pisciotta’s filing reported that she worked with the musical visionary from 2021 to 2022. The amended complaint accused Yeezy of sexual battery and claimed that the incident transpired during a studio session with Diddy. “Drinks were served to others in attendance, followed by an announcement that everybody had to drink if they wanted to stay,” Lauren’s complaint recalls the incident.

Pisciotta claimed she was served a drink as an order instructed by West, to which she began feeling disoriented after taking several sips of the liquid.

“As plaintiff began to slip into an altered and heavily impaired state, she felt less in control of her body and speech, and that is where plaintiff’s memories of that night escape her,” Lauren’s complaint states, per People.

The next day, Lauren recalled allegedly feeling “physically ill and confused” and full of “immense embarrassment” due to not being able to remember what happened after consuming the drink. However, her memory gaps were filled in after conversing with Ye once she was hired as his assistant, Chief of Staff, and A&R for the musician.

Her report claimed that West allegedly brought up the incident, stating that the two “did kind of hook up a little one time,” referring to the night she was assaulted at the studio session. Pisciotta claimed to Ye that she didn’t remember their romantic encounter, to which Ye allegedly played it for a joke, saying, “Women love to say they don’t remember.”

“Up until that very point, right before that very conversation,” her legal document read. “Plaintiff was unaware that she had been subjected to gender violence and sexual battery on that studio night by Kanye.” After their conversation, Lauren claims to have been “overcome with immense shame, discomfort and utter disgust.”
