Kanye “Ye” West was spotted with his three youngest kids, Saint West, Chicago West and Psalm West, while stocking up on treats in Japan.
Multiple outlets shared photos of the Tuesday, January 14, family outing as the Yeezy founder accompanied his kids around popular convenience store chain 7-Eleven. Ye’s eldest daughter, North West, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, wasn’t photographed with her siblings.
“A black van pulled out the front and all of a sudden the kids have gone running in and Kanye followed behind, trying to hide in the 7-Eleven with his hood up,” an eye-witness told Daily Mail in a story published later that day.
The source told the outlet that Chicago, 6, Psalm, 5, and Saint, 11, were “buying up the store” and filled their bags with “lollipops and snacks.”
Ye, 47, and his littles donned casual outfits composed of hoodies and sweats during their outing, with each kid holding a hefty grocery bag filled with goodies.
He was publicly seen with his children in September 2024.
Two months later, In Touch reported that the “Good Morning” rapper and Kim, 44, were having problems coordinating a holiday schedule for their kids as the Skims founder lives in Los Angeles, California.
“Kim has been trying her best to make it all work but she’s hitting her breaking point. She knows her kids want to see their dad over the holidays, but she can’t even pin him down for what days he will be around,” an insider exclusively told In Touch in a story published on November 28, 2024.
The insider deemed Ye as “unpredictable,” and said that he doesn’t stick to a pre-planned custody schedule with the kids.
“Either he’ll swoop in at the last minute and demand to have all kinds of time with them and play the whole Disneyland dad thing to the hilt, or he’ll go totally MIA.”
Earlier that month, Kim gave fans a rare glimpse into her coparenting dynamic with Ye. While acknowledging that she has helping hands with nannies, the Kardashians star admitted to feeling “alone” in her partnership with her former husband.
“Sometimes in the middle of the night, when they’re all sleeping in your bed kicking you and crying and waking up — it’s not something that I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment or people always will jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help,’” Kim told Zoe Winkler, host of the “What the Winkler?” podcast on November 12, 2024. “And I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, I’m basically raising four kids by myself.”
Kim and Kanye welcomed North, 11, in June 2013 and tied the knot the following May. Saint joined the family in December 2015. The former couple welcomed Chicago via surrogate in January 2018 and Psalm was born via surrogate the following year.
The A-listers called it quits in 2021 and finalized their divorce the next year.
