In some great news for a change, Kate Middleton has revealed that she is officially in remission from her cancer.

In a heartfelt and rare candid statement, the royal expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support and exceptional care she received during her journey.

“My heartfelt thanks go to The Royal Marsden [Hospital] for looking after me so well this past year,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “We couldn’t have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.”

“It is a relief to now be in remission, and I remain focused on recovery,” she continued. “As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”

The announcement comes after she visited The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where she spent the morning sitting and bonding with staff and patients.

The Princess of Wales first disclosed her diagnosis last March, following what was initially thought to be routine abdominal surgery. Months later, she announced that she had completed chemotherapy, stepping into recovery and bravely back into working royal duties.

She has since embraced a role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden alongside Prince William, channelling her experience into a new mission of advocacy and support.

In her statement, Kate’s words exuded optimism and resilience. “It is a relief to now be in remission. Recovery is a journey, and I am focused on finding balance in this new chapter. There is so much to look forward to,” she shared.

Kensington Palace released a sweet video of Middleton to accompany the announcement.

“To everyone who has supported me along the way, thank you,” she said.
