Kate Middleton used to make rather relatable mistake during a Royal visit, but she quickly learned from the incident.
When Prince William and Kate first met at the University of St. Andrews, they were just friends before things turned romantic between them. They dated for several years, and despite a brief split, they finally settled down in 2010 when their engagement was announced.
Throughout her lengthy relationship with William, Kate became accustomed to the limelight that accompanies the Royal Family, but she remained a private person - and she still needed time to adjust to the responsibilities that would come with her official Royal role. After tying the knot, she was gradually introduced to public life, given the chance to slowly learn the ropes, and as her family expanded, the opportunity to care for her children.

In a documentary commemorating the late Queen's 90th birthday, Kate confessed that she found Royal engagements challenging to get used to, and even the most mundane things you wouldn't consider in everyday life required some adjustments in that more formal setting. Kate revealed that during her earliest engagements, she would often lose track of time while engrossed in conversation with someone, and her eagerness to chat with everyone even became a bit of an inside joke within the House of Windsor.
Kate has previously opened up about mastering the art of Royal walkabouts, jokingly admitting her family teases her for taking too long to chat. "I think there is a real art to walkabouts, everyone teases me in the family that I spend far too long chatting so I think I've still got to learn a little bit more and pick up a few more tips I suppose," she shared with a laugh, reports the Mirror.
She also fondly recalled, during one of her initial solo engagements, the warmth and guidance from the late Queen Elizabeth II. "She was very supportive. The fact she took the time to make sure that I was happy and looked after for that particular occasion, which probably in everything that she's doing is a very small element, which just shows how caring she is, really," Kate reflected on those cherished moments.
In a recent event, Prince William was seen giving a subtle hint to his wife to possibly conclude her lengthy chats at a high-profile wedding in Jordan, where they were seen engaged in conversation with the bride and groom. Caught on camera, it appears Kate's affection for a lively natter is as vigorous as ever.
Given her childhood years spent in Jordan, it's conceivable that she would have plenty to discuss with Crown Prince Al Hussein of Jordan and Princess Rajwa, the happy couple.
