It was an eventful Saturday night for Katie Price, who surprised London fans by taking the stage to perform her 2017 track I Got U – and reignited a feud while she was at it.
The former glamour model, 46, looked to be in good spirits as she took centre stage at Clapham Grand during a drag competition night, flaunting her impressive singing capabilities. However, it was her reported comments about Emily Atack that had fans talking.
Wearing tight camo print leggings, a matching tank top and a cap, the star paired her look with black heeled boots and bounced around the stage before asking them: ‘Has anybody ever seen me do the “pwor fishy”.’
The ‘pwor fishy’ reference relates to a dig made by Rivals actress, 34, toward the reality star during her time on Extra Camp, the I’m A Celebritiy spin-off show.
While on the show in 2019, Emily washed herself in a rock pool before being told Katie and her ex-husband Peter Andre, had previously used it, resulting in the actress saying that she would need to ‘get tested in a clinic’.
At Saturday’s event, The Sun reported that Katie then waved her hand over her face, imitating smelling a fishy smell, and said: ‘Now I am not one to attack, even though it was Emily Atack.’
Katie added: ‘I don’t attack anyone. I am the kindest person ever.
‘But if someone goes for me, I make sure I have the last word.’
She reportedly went on to explain the joke for those who weren’t aware of the history, saying: ‘There was a couple of people in the pond and she [Emily] said, “Ooh I’ll be careful if I was you, you might get STDs because Katie Price has been in there”.’
‘So I put on my I’m A Celebrity rucksack and said, “Hey, Emily. I’m on my way to Australia and I know some of your exes and guess what they said,”’ she then made the bad smell gesture again.
Despite the comment, the night appeared to be full of fun for the star, who shared a video of her song performance on Instagram, writing: ’Thanks for having me the Clapham Grand as a judge.’
The iconic event space, which is home to shows of all genres, announced Katie would be judging the Top of the Slops Drag Show last month, urging fans to ‘see Pwicey and the best, filthiest, cheekiest drag performers London has to offer’.
Fans were stoked to hear the news, with fishwife96 writing, ‘Never underestimate the Pricey,’ while aishalawlor wrote, ‘I’m so excited to see Katie judge.’
Katie isn’t exactly a stranger to the stage. She has tried to transform her career from modelling to musician multiple times and in 2005, her ambitions saw her become runner-up in the selection contest for a representative for the UK at the Eurovision Song Competition.
As well as her own songs, she collaborated with her then-husband, Peter, on her debut studio album, A Whole New World, in 2006, which was certified Gold in the UK and peaked at number 20 on the UK Albums chart.
While it’s unclear whether Katie’s return to the stage over the weekend is a sign that she is planning a music come back again, it was well received by her audience, who could be seen dancing around and enthusiastically supporting the star.
