Katie Price has an extraordinary link to Margaret Thatcher.
During an appearance on The Louis Theroux podcast, Pricey claimed that her mother Amy used to work as Maggie’s personal assistant. However, although this is not the case as Cynthia Crawford served as the prime minister’s assistant for over thirty years, MailOnline “can confirm that Amy did indeed work for The Iron Lady in the eighties”.
They reported: “A representative for Katie explained that Amy was brought in as a temp for the Conservative Party conference in Brighton. She was given the role of editing transcripts of MPs’ speeches to ensure accuracy before they were released to the press.”

The publication explained that part of Amy’s role was to “cover all speeches given from Margaret to other MPs.” The extraordinary clarification comes after Katie left the country baffled with her wild claim.
While chatting to journalist Louis Theroux, Pricey said: “My mum, funny enough, she used to work in the bank. She was Maggie Thatcher’s PA [personal assistant] at some point. I mean, my mum, she’s just…”
Louis interrupted her to question: “Your mum was Maggie Thatcher’s PA?” to which the glamour model replied: “Yeah, at one point!”
Theroux then asked her for some inside gossip about the politician, who died on 8 April 2013, but Pricey couldn’t offer any tea. She confessed: “I haven’t even asked her to be honest [...] Do you know what? One thing I stay away from is politics and religion because you’ll never win.”
Over on social media, fans flocked to share their thoughts on Louis’ podcast episode with the glamour model. Someone admitted “they can never make me hate her,” while another said: “I would love a part two! Thoroughly enjoyed this, Katie is a riot [laughing emoji].”
Another fan added: “Such a great interview, I think you should do a part two!!” While someone else tweeted: “Nice one [clap emoji] glad to see you’re interviewing absolutely everyone from all walks of life. You don’t discriminate, unlike the naysayers in the comments. Keep up the good work [praising hands emoji].”
