Katy Perry has been sharing how much she now loves Taylor Swift and her fans following the conclusion of the Eras Tour.
Perry has been speaking very highly of the Sydney show that Swift put on, and she is clearly a fully blown Swiftie these days despite the bad blood between the duo in the past.
"I actually went and did a show in Australia very quickly and I had one day off before the show and I was like, 'Hey girl, I'm gonna come to the show,'"Perry told U.K. radio station Capital in a video posted on TikTok.
"And [Swift] was so excited and I was so excited," she added while holding up a photo of them at the concert in February 2024.
Perry went on to call Swift's fans 'an adorable sweet community', revealing that she had been swapping bracelets with fans as many people do at Swift concerts.
"People gave me bracelets and I think Rita [Ora] gave me a bracelet," she said. "I loved it. It's just like a community, it's an adorable sweet community."
What happened between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry
This pleasant interaction comes years after there was a serious feud between the two pop stars. In December 2013, Lockhard Brownlie and two other dancers left Swift's Red Tour to dance for Perry's Prismatic Tour.
"We were with Katy for two and a half years, she's like family to us, so we were like, 'Absolutely,'" he explained in an interview at the time. "We weren't really dancing in Taylor's tour anyway, so I had gotten a little bored."
In September 2014, Swift spoke to Rolling Stone to explain what her song 'Bad Blood' was all about.
"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'" she said.
"Then she did something so horrible. I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business.
"She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational - you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It's awkward, and I don't like it."
In response, Perry tweeted: "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing," referring to the character from Mean Girls.
