Keanu Reeves and the mystery of the luxury watches stolen in 2023 that have turned up... in Chile!

Keanu Reeves suffered heartbreak in 2023 when his collection of luxury watches were stolen from his Los Angeles home, but now he might be able to get them back after they turned up 5600 miles away in Chile.

The 60-year-old, known for his roles in The Matrix and John Wick, found his home burgled around Christmas time in 2023 but now law enforcement in Santiago believe they have found the jewellery.

As per CNN, officers confirmed they have recovered a $9,000 Rolex Submariner gifted to him as a tribute to his titular role as John Wick in the high-octane action franchise, as well as three other expensive watches.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested as a suspect in the robbery, although it's unclear if he was the thief, an accomplice or simply someone who inherited the possessions 12 months after they were looted.

The recovery from North to South America came as a joint effort by both Chilean and United States' officials, who managed to trace the items and connected them to the break-ins at Reeves' Californian home.

When is the next John Wick movie?

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the 2023 incident was the third time his property has been raided after a woman in her 40s was arrested and sent to a medical facility after two attempts of breaking and entering back in September 2014.

Days later, another woman was found in his swimming pool. That was a month before the first John Wick movie hit cinemas, which went on to earn $86m dollars. Reeves has since made $22m from the role from four movies.

The next instalment in the franchise will be released in June 2025 and stars Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro in a flick titled, 'Ballerina'. She will co-star with Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Ian McShane and Reeves.
