Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona recently cut ties with fiancé Ryan Mahoney in a shock split, but now Kerry has moved on as she admits she is in a thriving new relationship
Kerry Katona says she's in the "best relationship" after splitting from her fiancé Ryan Mahoney.
Atomic Kitten alum Kerry, 44, is continuing to move on with her life after it was revealed that her relationship with Ryan had broken down in November. Explaining the demise of their love, Kerry said that Ryan had moved out of their shared Cheshire home due to a "breach of trust".
Ever since then, Kerry has been open about her love life - and now, she has told her followers that she is in a new and blossoming relationship. Writing in her column for OK! magazine, the singer said that she is making the best situation for herself despite the chaos.
"I’m a single woman and am in the best relationship of my life, which is with myself," she penned in her article for her readers. She went on to explain that following the heartbreak of the breakup, she no longer feels devastated and has now realised Ryan was not the one for her.
"I’m feeling really good going into 2025 – it’s going to be a great year," she added. "I know people do things like Dry January and diets, but I don’t drink much anyway and like to work on myself every day, so I’m not into any of that. I’m just going to take it easy this month."
Fitness trainer Ryan and Kerry had a whirlwind romance when they first met online in 2018, with the couple getting engaged in 2021. The pair seemed to be going from strength to strength in their love for each other, but things soon started going downhill when Kerry said she was feeling "unsupported" by Ryan during her mum's health battle.
Initially, the couple were working to help each other through the traumatic period for the former Iceland ambassador. But in a shock twist in November, she confirmed through her column that Ryan had now left the family home due to the "breach of trust" - though Kerry did not go into detail on what this breach was.
In December, Kerry admitted she was "struggling to move on" as she spent her first Christmas without Ryan in six years. "I thought I’d be with Ryan forever, so I didn’t expect to spend Christmas alone," she confessed.
While Ryan was not in the picture for Kerry's Christmas, she was not totally alone as she indulged in the festive fun with her five children: Molly, 23; Lilly, 21; Heidi; 17; Max, 16 and DJ, 10. On top of this, good and fellow showbiz icon Katie Price also joined in on the celebrations, together with son Harvey.
Kerry and Katie have been getting through the festive season together as they took on the roles of the "evil stepsisters" at a panto rendition of Cinderella in Northwich, Cheshire. The pair had been working right up until Christmas Eve and are now taking some much-needed rest.
