Kevin Costner and Sharon Stone ‘Exchanged Numbers’ After Hitting It Off: ‘Sparks Were Flying’

From Yellowstone to Sharon Stone! Kevin Costner, who was most recently romantically linked to singer Jewel, was spotted getting flirty with the Basic Instinct actress, 66, at the Governors Awards ceremony in Hollywood on November 17. “Sparks were flying,” a source exclusively tells In Touch.

According to one eyewitness, Sharon — who famously took Kevin’s side when he was hashing out a divorce settlement with his ex-wife, Christine Baumgartner, in 2023 — loved the attention and “winked” at him. One report even suggested the pair “went home together.” At the least, says our source, “they exchanged numbers.”

After it was reported that Christine, 50, was seeking $160,000 a month in child support from Kevin, 69, amid their divorce, Sharon defended the Guardian actor by recalling her own divorce from ex-husband Phil Bronstein.

While arguing for the child support during an August hearing, Christine insisted that her and Kevin’s kids – Cayden, 17, and Hayes, 15, and daughter Grace, 14 – were used to a certain quality of life and that their luxurious ideals were “in their DNA at this point.”

Kevin was eventually ordered to pay Christine $63,209 per month for child support in September, which was significantly less than what his ex asked for.

Christine’s claims made in court were detailed in an Instagram post, and Sharon showed her support for Kevin by responding in the comments section, “My ex thought the same.”

Sharon married Phil, 74, in 1998, and they adopted their son, Roan, in 2000. The journalist filed for divorce in 2004, and he eventually won custody of Roan in 2008. While Sharon implied that her ex asked her for a large amount of child support, it is not currently known what she was ordered to pay him.

Kevin – who was previously married to Cindy Costner from 1978 until 1994 – married Christine in 2004. Christine filed for divorce in May 2023 and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. Additionally, she listed their date of separation as April 11, 2023. Their divorce was eventually finalized in February following a contentious legal battle.

Following Kevin’s divorce from Christine, he was briefly linked to Jewel, 50. However, both Kevin and Jewel have denied that they had a romantic relationship. “Jewel and I are friends — we’ve never gone out. Ever,” Kevin said during a June appearance on The Howard Stern Show. “She’s special, and I don’t want these rumors to ruin our friendship because that’s what we have.”

The Horizon actor now seems to be embracing his single life, as a source previously told Life & Style in October that he was back in the dating game.

“He’s not quite as desperately pathetic as people think,” the insider dished at the time. “He’s been on several dates with women who are trusted and vetted by friends and is having some good rebound fun.”

The source added that Kevin has “learned his lesson getting too carried away like he did with Jewel,” though he’s still trying to put himself out there and boost his self-esteem. “His confidence took a beating,” the insider shared. “He wants his self-respect and sexy spark back.”
