Khalid Opens Up About His Sexuality After Claiming He Was Outed

Khalid recently hopped on X to open up about his sexuality to his fans.

The singer confirmed his orientation after being seemingly outed in a series of since-deleted tweets by R&B singer Hugo D Almonte. Khalid posted a rainbow flag, followed by the message, “there yall go. Next topic please lol.”

After someone else suggested that they were shocked with the news, Khalid confirmed again in case anyone else was confused. “I am! And that’s okay,” he wrote.

As fans digested the news on X, Khalid shared a longer message explaining that he isn’t ashamed of who he is. “I got outed and the world still continues to turn,” he wrote. “Let’s get this straight (lmao) I am not ashamed of my sexuality! In reality it ain’t nobodies business! But I am okay with me 🖤 love yall.”

Khalid then started addressing fans that mentioned him. After a person wrote him suggesting that it his sexuality was obvious and he shouldn’t have hid it, Khalid responded with, “I wasn’t hiding anything! It’s just not any of your business.”

He then reposted a fan who shared a song he released in 2022, confirming that his music has always shown who he is. “Thank you!!!! I was never hiding” he added.

Khalid’s openness about his sexuality follows an incident where he was seemingly outed by Hugo D. Almonte, who shared a photo of the two together on Friday.

"I was dating this dumb ass singer he's ugly as fuck but he tried to set me up and lie and say I broke into his house because I broke up with him like why would I go to your house and do all that if I broke up with you dumb ass!" he wrote before sharing a photo of himself and Khalid.
