Kim Kardashian’s Plans to Have Kids Spend Time With Kanye West During Holidays Is ‘A Total Mess’

Kim Kardashian is openly complaining about raising her four kids effectively alone – as she grows increasingly fed up with ex-husband Kanye “Ye” West and braces herself for a fiery showdown with the rapper over the holidays.

“Kim has been trying her best to make it all work but she’s hitting her breaking point. She knows her kids want to see their dad over the holidays, but she can’t even pin him down for what days he will be around,” an insider exclusively tells In Touch of the couple, who share kids North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.

The source tells In Touch that Ye, 47, is “so unpredictable, either he’ll swoop in at the last minute and demand to have all kinds of time with them and play the whole Disneyland dad thing to the hilt, or he’ll go totally MIA.”

“It wouldn’t be nearly as stressful if she could just invite him to join her family celebration, that would take a lot of the weight off because she wouldn’t have to worry or prepare, it would be a simple solution but she knows things between him and her mom are so tense that it would ruin the holiday, not to mention the rest of her family can’t stand him,” the source shares of Kim’s sisters Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and momager Kris Jenner. “It’s a total mess and she’s on tenterhooks waiting for what Ye’s going to do, which is just so unfair, but it’s not as though she can just shut him out and forget about him, she’d never do that to her kids.”

Before the Skims founder, 44, headed into the holiday season with full force, she opened up about the struggles of raising four young kids as a single mom after she and Ye separated in 2021.

“Sometimes in the middle of the night, when they’re all sleeping in your bed kicking you and crying and waking up — it’s not something that I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment or people always will jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help,’” Kim said during a November 12 interview on the “What the Winkler?” podcast. “And I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, I’m basically raising four kids by myself.”

One month before giving fans a rare glimpse into her coparenting relationship with the “Runaway” artist, In Touch reported that the former couple may have to “fight” over custody if Ye decides to permanently move to Japan with wife Bianca Censori.

“Rumors have been swirling for a while that Ye intends to relocate to Tokyo and renegotiate his custody terms with Kim, because he’ll want the kids to travel there frequently once he’s settled,” a second source exclusively told In Touch in a story published on October 28.

Insider No. 2 explained that Ye’s decision to move overseas “poses all sorts of complications and challenges from a logistical point of view, and Kim’s very worried about what the future holds if he goes ahead.” If the worst case becomes Kim and Ye’s reality, the Kardashians star will “lawyer up and likely fight him every step if necessary, but it’s obviously the last thing she wants or needs to be dealing with.”
