Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is "staying far away" from her ex Kanye West, after he went on a vile racist rant in which he glorified Adolf Hitler and Nazism.

At one point in his disgusting tirade, controversial rapper Kanye posted a photo of a t-shirt emblazoned with a swastika, claiming it is his best "art piece". Elsewhere in his ongoing slew of hateful comments, he targeted Jewish people, the LGBTQ+ community, plus-sized people and ethnic minorities.

But his ex Kim, 44, with who he shares four children, has kept quiet on her former husband's bizarre outbursts. Instead, Kardashians star quietly broke her Instagram silence with a clip to promote her second-hand designer clothes site Kardashians Kloset, as well as skincare and fashion brands.

Kim and Kanye were married from six years, before finalising their divorce in 2022. During that time, Kim had made public statements discussing her then-partner's mental health, after he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016.

But since going their separate ways, Kanye moved on with his current wife Bianca Censori and Kim has kept quiet about any of Kanye's social media meltdowns. According Page Six, a source said: "Kim hasn’t read all the messages Kanye posted because it’s not worth her time and energy."

They added that Kim has distanced herself from the "disturbing" circus created by her ex, adding: "Kim is staying far away from Kanye at this point and wants nothing to do with his drama." In Kanye's most recent tweets, he's made flippant remarks about anything from domestic violence to rape. At another point, he told followers he pays security guards to protect him and his family from those annoyed by anything he says.

Kim previously spent years defending Kanye's past behaviour, speaking publicly about his "mental illness", which caused him to act out on social media in the past. In 2020, she said on Instagram: "Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behaviour know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor. People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try."

West admitted this week that he no longer takes his prescribed medication for bipolar, as he now believes he is autistic, which is not a mental health condition. Speaking in an interview with Justin Laboy on his podcast The Download, Kanye, who is now formally known as Ye, said his wife of two years Bianca suggested he had been misdiagnosed.

Autismspeaks.org says that as many as 27 per cent of people with autism also display symptoms of bipolar disorder. There is a suggestion of relatively high rates of co-morbidity between the two conditions. Autism, which is a form of neurodivergence, is not a medicated condition, while symptoms of bi-polar disorder can be managed with medication.

He told Laboy: "I went to this doctor … My wife took me to do that because she said, 'Something about your personality doesn’t feel like it’s bipolar, I’ve seen bipolar before.' And I’ve come to find that it’s really a case of autism that I have."
