Kody Brown admits he bought a ring big enough to scare other men away from hitting on his wife, Robyn. She done the same though, and dropped over $1,000 on a new ring for her husband.

Despite the Sister Wives couple having their fair share of issues, there’s no doubt Kody Brown is seriously protective over his last remaining wife, Robyn Brown. However, she bought him a flashy ring, too.

Kody Brown bought a flashy ring on purpose

Kody Brown admits he bought a flashy ring for Robyn on purpose, so other men at church wouldn’t try it on with her. He then encourages Robyn to show off her “rock” during a Sister Wives intimate dinner.

He says, “I just wanted to make sure that bling was big enough that the guys would stay away from you.” Kody said he was “protecting the pride,” but Robyn insisted he had nothing to worry about.

Robyn reassured him, saying she’d tell interested men she’s married. But Kody notices the attraction and said: “There’s a lot of men interested in Robyn, and they were trying to get around me and to her.”

She laughed and said, “I’ll wear it, don’t worry,” but he was absolutely persistent that she “couldn’t go to church] too long without him in case other men thinks she’s single.”

Robyn’s new wedding ring is believed to be custom-made, but many think the sentimental piece of jewelry looks eerily similar to Christine Brown‘s bling, who tied the knot with David Woolley.

Robyn spent over $1,000 on a ring

Robyn bought a new gold ring for Kody worth over $1,000 a year ago. It is an 18-carat David Yurman gold-pressed ring with a horse, to replace the old Claddagh ring all the wives bought for him.

He grew up on a horse farm in Wyoming, which could be the meaning behind the ring. Robyn sometimes wears a similar horse-pressed ring, while Kody was called out by Meri Brown for wearing a different ring.

Robyn just wore hers on the middle left finger, but Kody replaced his wedding finger with it. He used to wear a Mojo Dojo Casa House wedding ring, yet Meri says, “Frankly, I don’t care” about the new ring.
