Kristen Doute Gives Update on Friendship With Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney

Remember when the Witches of WeHo ran Vanderpump Rules? Back then, Kristen Doute, along with Katie Maloney and Stassi Schroeder weathered many ups and downs in the series. The ladies are all grown up (allegedly) and navigating a new phase of their lives. While Kristen is starring in The Valley, Stassi is appearing in Season 2 of Vanderpump Villa. Meanwhile, Katie is running her sandwich shop, Something About Her, with Ariana Madix. So, where does Kristen stand with her former besties now?

Kristen Doute said that “people grow apart”

Recently, Kristen was a guest on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast. Host Alex Baskin brought up her relationship with Stassi. “You were asked recently about your friendship with Stassi, and I thought you really maturely said, ‘Look, we don’t really talk, but she was an important part of my life,” Alex stated. “And, you know, so I value that, but we’re just in different places.’”

So, when did Kristen last talk to Stassi? “I mean, the last time I talked to her … I’ll say like a year ago when we had our pregnancy [loss], she was texting me pretty often and being just very loving. The way that I think she just naturally is,” Kristen explained, “especially because we were in each other’s lives very close for so long.”

The Valley star continued, “As of today, we haven’t spoken since I think her anniversary [in September]. I texted her, like a happy anniversary thing. And she was like, ‘Oh, you introduced [me and Beau Clark].’”

Kristen and her fiancé, Luke Broderick, are expecting a daughter. However, when Luke popped the question, Stassi didn’t reach out to Kristen. Still, Kristen isn’t holding a grudge. “There’s no hate. There’s no, ‘We’re not friends anymore.’ It’s just – people grow apart. She has two kids,” Kristen told Alex. “She has a husband, and she has a different group of friends.”

However, Kristen has a stronger friendship with Katie. “Katie Maloney, I’m still close to. Are we best friends the way that we were?” Katie remarked. “No. We are in very different places in our lives. It’s kind of the same thing. I’m closer with Katie, but it’s OK for people to just grow apart without there being some big dramatic breakup, strangely enough,” she added.

Well, Kristen and Luke certainly have some wonderful milestones ahead, like becoming parents. And who knows? Maybe Stassi will share some parenting advice with Kristen.
