Kyle Richards Gets Emotional Over Daughter Alexia’s Wedding Plans

Kyle Richards shared an emotional update on her daughter Alexia Umansky’s upcoming wedding to Jake Zingerman, and it was both heartfelt and “embarrassing.”

During a February 2025 Amazon Livestream, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star admitted she was overwhelmed with emotion while shopping for wedding dresses with Alexia in New York City.

“I didn’t think I was going to be this person, but the first dress she came out in, I started crying,” Richards confessed to her viewers. “Such a cliché. Oh my gosh, so embarrassing.”

The proud mom continued, “It’s like that scene in ‘Father of the Bride’ when the little girl tells her dad, ‘I’m getting married,’ and suddenly, he sees a 5-year-old. That’s how I felt. I was looking at her and thinking, ‘But she’s just a baby.’ It just makes you realize how fast time flies.”

Wedding Location & Date Confirmed

In a December 2024 interview with Parade, Richards revealed she was helping Alexia consider venues. “I’ve just been thinking about venues. Where does she want to get married? LA or Aspen? So, we shall see.”

By January 7, during another Amazon Livestream, Richards confirmed that the wedding date was set for September 6, 2025 in Aspen, Colorado.

“We have a date,” she excitedly announced. “I asked her if I could say that.”

Richards’ Role in the Engagement

Richards has been involved in the couple’s journey from the start. In December 2024, she shared with Parade that Zingerman sought her blessing before proposing to Alexia.

“He asked my permission,” she recalled. “And then he had me help him pick the ring. He was so cute, including me in the process. I went with him to many different places to look, and it was just so sweet that he included me.”

The final selection? An emerald-cut diamond engraved with the word “Sweetheart” and a small heart inside, as seen in photos posted by BravoTV.com.

A Hands-On Bride

Despite Richards’ enthusiasm for planning, Alexia is taking the reins.

“She knows exactly what she wants,” Richards shared on the RHOBH After Show on February 4. “She is planning like crazy. I’m just saying, ‘Love it! Perfect!’ She has a very clear vision of what she wants and, basically, we just have to pay for it.”

A Different Experience from Farrah’s Engagement

Richards previously had wedding fever when her eldest daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie, got engaged to Alex Manos in November 2021. However, that wedding never came to fruition.

“I’ve been dreaming of this day forever,” Richards told Today at the time, eagerly anticipating the planning process. But Farrah was not as quick to move forward with the wedding, and by March 2024, she confirmed her engagement had ended.

Now, with Alexia’s wedding officially on the books, Richards is embracing every moment—even if it means shedding a few tears along the way.
