Kym Marsh has shared a rare photo of her teen daughter while enjoying a fancy dinner out.
The Coronation Street star took to her Instagram Stories and shared a couple of snaps of her evening in the centre of London with lookalike Polly. In her first photo, Kym, 48, captured a candid moment of herself and Polly cuddling up to each other, and wrote: “Me and my girl,” tagging her daughter and adding several heart emojis.
In her next post, Kym snapped a photo of herself and Polly at the dinner table, both sporting flawless makeup and smiling for the camera. “The best dinner date,” she wrote, tagging her daughter. Kym added “at the best restaurant,” tagging the bistro Story Cellar and even the Michelin starred chef who works there.
Kym welcomed Polly with Jamie Lomas in 2011, before they tied the knot in 2012 - unfortunately, they split soon after in 2013 and finalised their divorce just a year later. Kym also has an older son, David, born in 1995.
Before their sudden divorce, Kym and Jamie welcomed son Archie on February 11, 2009, born 18 weeks early. Tragically, their baby boy died only moments after he was born.
Kim shared an emotional post just days ago to mark the day she lost son Archie. “16 years without you,” she wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of her boy’s hand and foot prints. “It feels like yesterday we said goodbye. Every year, I try to write something new, but the truth is, nothing changes. I still miss you every day. I still wish you were here to celebrate, to laugh, to bicker with Polly, to hug me - even if I embarrassed you.”
She added of her late father: “Grandad is hugging you for me, making you laugh with his silly jokes, and reminding you how loved you are. If you’re anything like your siblings, you’re a beauty, we all miss you. We’ll celebrate you today. Happy birthday, son. Love you always, Mum.”
Less than a week after Kym’s heartbreaking post for son Archie, it was also revealed that she’d broken up with her boyfriend Samuel Thomas, 29, towards the end of 2024.
A source claimed that simple ease and time had much to do with the split, explaining that Kym and Samuel met while performing a stage version of a Disney classic, but found it hard to keep the spark alive after the show was done.
"Once Kym’s role in 101 Dalmatians ended it became harder to spend time together and some of the magic they had at the beginning just disappeared. It’s such a shame, especially before Christmas but Kym surrounded herself with family,” they said.
