Lana Del Rey Made Rare Comments About Her Marriage To Jeremy Dufrene

"I really feel like there’s kind of a singer’s curse around meeting an honest partner who has no skin in the game."

If you're a Lana Del Rey fan, you know that she doesn't share details about her personal life all that often. She really doesn't even do interviews very frequently, even.

You probably also know that, after months of rumors about their relationship, Lana got married earlier this year to swamp boat captain Jeremy Dufrene.

Somewhat unsurprisingly, we really haven't heard much from Lana on the somewhat surprising wedding — but that changed during her speech at last night's Variety Hitmakers event, in which she made rare comments about her marriage to Jeremy.

Lana Del Rey says Jack Antonoff is a "big reason why I waited so long to get married and why I met my amazing husband. And I really feel like there's kind of a singer's curse around meeting an honest partner who has no skin in the game, no dog in the race, and it's super nerve-racking to have to hold onto an innocent perception of how things could go when you're in an industry where maybe your values or your morals don't quite match up with what's going on." | Variety Hitmakers presented by AFEELA

During the speech, Lana credited producer and frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff's marriage to Margaret Qualley as a reason to wait for love to find her.

"I’m grateful for him for his example that he gave me in his marriage to Margaret," she said. "I saw the way he looked at her when he met her, and he’s a big reason why I waited so long to get married and why I met my amazing husband."

Lana also credited Jack for "maybe helping other people look in me in a way that is a little bit closer to how I perceive myself.” How sweet!

Fittingly, Lana's next album is called The Right Person Will Stay, so it seems like we may hear more about her relationship on wax when it's released next May. Stay tuned!
