Epic Games just dropped a major teaser for Fortnite’s Chapter 6, revealing a complete Japanese makeover. At the center of attention is a powerful new Assault Rifle that looks like an upgraded version of the classic Pulse Rifle. Here’s what you should know about it.
Epic Unveils Fortnite New Pulse Rifle in Chapter 6 Teaser
Fortnite’s official account finally posted a teaser on X, showing the season’s title and a threatening message in Japanese that translates to “The mysterious threat returns.” Three main characters take center stage in the teaser:
- Hope (now a masked hunter)
- A shinobi warrior
- A mysterious swordsman.
Behind them, you’ll spot a majestic dragon and a giant turtle – both symbols of good fortune in Japanese culture.
Fortnite Japan has further built excitement with a teaser tweet that says, “Only 4 days until Chapter 6 begins!” plus an attached artwork. The stunning artwork, created by illustrator SABA-TABA, shows Hope wielding a powerful new Pulse Rifle against a gorgeous backdrop of traditional Japanese architecture and cherry blossoms. Fans and players in the community were quick to speculate that the artwork might hint at a brand-new rifle coming to Fortnite in Chapter 6.
Fortnite Chapter 6 New Weapons Analysis
The teaser gives us a clear look at Chapter 6’s standout weapon, which might be the more advanced Pulse Rifle. As you can see in the picture below, this upgraded version has a larger frame than the original. This weapon also features unique hit marker icons, suggesting it could become a must-have gun in the new season.
Looking closely at the teaser, it also confirms the previous rumors that Masamune Blades will be part of the upcoming season. These traditional katanas, perfect for close-range combat, will be scattered across the map and can likely be found inside loot chests. Additionally, Demon Masks will introduce a fresh twist to the game, leaks said they will grant unique abilities when they are equipped.
The new season launches on December 1st, 2024, introducing a mix of contemporary and traditional combat styles. Most exciting is the new day-night system, where different creatures and NPCs appear depending on the time of day. You’ll also find familiar POIs reimagined with a Japanese twist like Durrr Sushi replacing the classic Durrr Burger.
