As people across the world grapple with the premature death of one of the globe’s biggest pop stars, many fans have taken to one particular Instagram post to express their condolences.

Earlier this year, in a now haunting post, Liam shared the news of his latest release, Teardrops.

Two moody black and white photos were accompanied with a concise caption that read, “A new chapter. Link in bio”.

At the time, fans filled the comments section with adoration and praise, with one saying,”Oh, look at you! You look great. Don't go away again”, while another wrote “he’s back."

The singer reveals his inner turmoil in his final single, the chorus of which goes, “Teardrops are falling down your face again because I don’t know how to love you when I am broken”.

In July, Liam reportedly checked into The Priory to clean himself up, however he checked out of the rehab centre after only 48 hours.

Reports suggest that Liam's decision left his close friends and family devastated as he gave up a chance of "overcoming his addictions.”

The singer had previously been open about his struggles and had confided in TV personality Paddy McGuinness about his sobriety. However, despite his desire to get his life back on track, it seems he struggled.
