Liam Payne had traces of cocaine in his body, forensic experts have discovered according to Argentine media reports.
Respected news portal Infobae said materials extracted from the singer’s body in an autopsy following his death last Wednesday had “determined the presence of the class-A drug.”
But it said police tests on a white powder found in his hotel room had so far proved “inconclusive. “
It reported the results of a second test using chromatography, a powerful analytical separation technique, on that powder were pending.
Liam’s dad Geoff is in Argentina to speed up the repatriation of his body but is understood to have been told he will not be able to fly it back to the UK until the 31-year-old’s death is confirmed “scientifically.”
