Liam Payne's devastating final wish revealed an hour before death

1 month ago 9

The grieving mother of Liam Payne has disclosed the One Direction sensation's poignant final wish following his tragic passing last week.

The much-adored pop star's fans were left to mourn after he plummeted from the third floor of his Buenos Aires hotel suite in Argentina at the age of 31.

As the sorrowful details of Liam's final moments in South America come to light, his touching last desire has been revealed. A mere hour before his untimely death, Liam reportedly expressed to a fan how much he adored Buenos Aires and aspired to purchase a residence there.

Diana Gauna, the 'Directioner' who encountered her hero in his boutique hotel's lobby around 3pm on Wednesday, was overcome with emotion when she remembered their conversation during an interview on Argentinian TV show TN Central: "Liam looked in good shape, not drunk or aggressive like they've been saying on social media. He approached us and spent quite a bit of time talking to us and telling us about his experiences in Buenos Aires, the places he'd been to and where he wanted to go. He said he loved the city and would like to buy a home here, that he loved the countryside around Buenos Aires."

Gauna continued: "Liam also told us during the conversation that he'd been to the countryside with his girlfriend, that on Sunday morning about 7am they'd gone out running together. He told us he was really enjoying Buenos Aires."

Diana has revealed that she was still at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel when she "began to see strange movements and a police patrol car and fire engine turned up". She confessed her shock upon discovering that the father-of-one had been found dead, stating: "I never thought it was Liam because I had seen him just over an hour earlier and he seemed okay."

Overcome with emotion as she remembered the devastating moment, as reports the Mirror, she added: "Finding out someone is dead that you've just seen was really shocking. He was my idol. Liam spoke a lot about mental health and in his songs told us we are never alone. This is all very hard. As fans we are in a lot of pain."

Last week, prosecutors announced that they had found no evidence suggesting any third-party involvement in the incident leading to Liam's death, but confirmed that investigations were ongoing.

Argentine media reports suggest that traces of cocaine were found in the star's body, according to forensic experts. News portal Infobae reported that materials extracted from the singer's body during an autopsy following his death last Wednesday had "determined the presence of the class-A drug".

ABC News alleges that the substances included "pink cocaine," which is a combination of several drugs including MDMA, ketamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack.

Liam's devastated father, Geoff, who immediately flew to Argentina following his son's death, has pledged to stay with him until he can bring him back to the UK. The lead investigator into Liam's death, Prosecutor Andrés Esteban Madrea, has cautioned Geoff that it could take up to ten days for the examination results to be confirmed and he cannot repatriate Liam to the UK before then.
