Liam Payne's first posthumous song is set to be released only weeks after the singer's death.

In the wake of his tragic death, Payne's collaborator Sam Pounds has announced he will release their duet titled Do No Wrong on November 1.

"I pray that this will be a blessing to the world like Liam has always dreamed," Pounds wrote in a post on X.

"I pray angels will comfort you all everyday while listening."

He continued to share that he hopes the new song will be a blessing to Payne's 7-year-old son Bear, his sister Ruth Gibbins and the entire family.

"I pray that this song eclipses the negative echoes. I pray supernatural positive healing power will embrace each and every one of you."

Pounds also shared the song's cover art and a link to a presale link for the upcoming song.

Payne died on October 16 after falling from the third floor of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was 31.

Tributes have flown since, with his former One Direction bandmates, family members and fans sharing heartfelt messages in honour of the late singer.

Payne's family released a short statement in the wake of his death.

"Liam will forever live in our hearts and we'll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul," they said.

"We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this awful time."

Payne's former One Direction bandmates also came out with a heartfelt message in the days following his death.

"The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us," Payne's former One Direction band mates Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles – obtained by the BBC

Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy also shared her heartbreak with a statement to Instagram.

"You are – because I can't say were – my best friend, the love of my life and everyone you touched felt just as special as I did. Your energy was contagious, lighting up every room you walked into," she wrote.

"None of this feels real and I can't wrap my head around this new reality of not having you here. I'm struggling to figure out how to live in a world without you be my side. Together, we got to be kids again, always finding joy in the smallest things."
