Liam Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, was spotted in public for the first time since the former One Direction bandmate’s funeral last week.

The model, 25, was seen in central London on Thursday, November 28, wearing a long, beige fluffy coat, dark pants and cozy boots, according to photos published by The Daily Mail. Kate’s blonde hair was tied back in a bun, and she went makeup-free for the outing.

Kate appeared to be crying and wiped away tears as she looked at her phone and walked through the streets before heading into a local café to grab a drink.

The influencer’s outing came just over one week after she attended Liam’s funeral alongside his friends and family. Liam, who died at 31 years old on October 16, was laid to rest at the 12th Century St. Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. The musician’s former One Direction bandmates, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, were there, along with Cheryl Cole, the mother of Liam’s 7-year-old son, Bear.

The “Strip That Down” singer died after falling from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After receiving a call from hotel staff, local authorities arrived at CasaSur Palermo to find Liam already deceased in the interior courtyard.

A hotel staff member reported an “aggressive man possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol” and noted that he may be a danger to himself or others. Liam sustained “very serious injuries” as a result of his fall and fractured his skull, In Touch confirmed.

“There was no possibility of resuscitating him,” authorities said at the time, noting that his injuries were “incompatible with life.”

The English singer-songwriter had multiple drugs in his system at the time of his death, his autopsy report later revealed. This included a drug called “pink cocaine” – a mix of ecstasy, ketamine, caffeine and a psychedelic drug known as 2-CB. He also had cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack in his system.

Kate, who had been with Liam in South America days before his death, broke her silence on his passing via Instagram on October 18.

“Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way,” she wrote. “I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real. I ask and pray that you’ll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private.”

Kate continued, “Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam.”

Liam and Kate flew to Buenos Aires on September 30 to attend Niall’s concert on October 2. The couple originally planned to have five days in Argentina together, but they ended up staying in South America for two weeks, and Kate was eager to get home. She left solo on October 14 and explained her decision to head back early.

“Honestly loved South America, but I hate staying in one place for too long, and we were supposed to be there for like, five days. It turned into two weeks, and I was just like, ‘I need to go home,’” she said in a TikTok video posted the day of her departure, later adding, “I was so happy to be home. It was just so relieving.”
