Kate Cassidy has opened up about her grief this Christmas following the tragic death of her One Direction star boyfriend Liam Payne, who died at the age of 31 in October
Kate Cassidy, Liam Payne 's girlfriend at the time of his death, has shared a message of grief this Christmas.
The loved-up duo had been in Argentina together, before Liam plunged to his death from a third-floor balcony at the plush hotel CasaSur Palermo in Argentina. Kate was in attendance at Liam's funeral, which took place in November.
Now, the social media star, who recently unveiled a touching tattoo tribute to Liam, has spoke of her grief. She sent her love to others feeling the same as she was.
Kate wrote: "As the holidays are here, I realise it is a time for happiness and joy, but it is also a time of sadness and grief for so many.
"Be gentle with those around you this time of year, as the holidays can feel different for everyone.
"Sending all my love to those carrying grief this holiday. I hope the season brings you comfort and peace."
She finished by saying: "Wishing everyone a love-filled and healthy holiday season this year."
Earlier this week Kate unveiled a tattoo of angel wings on her finger, which appears to be a nod to Liam. When she paid tribute to him shortly after his death, Kate mentioned their "angel number" of 444 and said she had "gained a guardian angel".
In the photo, she could be seen cuddled up to her dog Nala, who she had adopted with Liam just months earlier.
Paying tribute previously, Kate said: "Your energy was contagious, lighting up every room you walked into. You had the kindest soul and the most fun-loving spirit. It feels like I've lost the best part of myself. I can't imagine a day without your laughter and love. You brought so much light into my life."
She also wrote: "A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together. I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it. It said 'Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged & together forever 444.' Liam, I know we'll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned. You'll always be with me. I've gained a guardian angel."
