Liam Payne's tearful girlfriend was seen for the first time since the One Direction star's funeral last week.
American Kate Cassidy, 25, looked sombre as she headed out in London days after Liam was laid to rest. She grabbed a coffee well she braved the cold in England's capital. She was seen wearing a large white fluffy coat and a pair of dark jogging trousers and she clung to her phone as she headed to a cafe.
Kate tied her hair back for the outing, in which she seemed to be alone. She was seen appearing tearful as she reflected while grabbing a pastry snack.

Those closest to the star, including Kate, were at the service to say their final goodbyes. Liam's former One Direction bandmates – Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik – all joined the service too, as did his ex Cheryl Tweedy, who is the mother of his seven-year-old son Bear.
Since the singer's passing, three people have been charged and a post-mortem revealed he died from multiple traumas leading to an "internal and external haemorrhage". A toxicology report said Liam had anti-depressants and cocaine in his system at the time of his death – despite having been clean from drugs just days before. It's claimed that Class A drugs were smuggled to Liam's hotel room, disguised in a Dove soap box. Hotel staff have since stated that only employees have access to the location where the soap supplies are held.
Kate had been with Liam in Argentina days before he died. They had attended a concert of Niall's in the Argentinian capital, while Liam regularly shared snippets of their adventure on social media. Kate flew back to the couple’s home in Miami on October 14. However, Liam had stayed behind to renew his US visa.
Kate had admitted her reasons for going home prior to his death. She said on social media it was starting to feel a bit too long to hang out in the country. In a video she posted a TikTok before Liam died, Kate said: "I was so ready to leave. Love South America, but I hate staying in one place for too long and we were supposed to be there for five days, turned into two weeks and I was just like, 'I need to go home.'"
Two days after his death, Kate released a statement. In it, she said she loved him "unconditionally". Taking to Instagram, she said she had been "at a complete loss" and said she will continue to love you for the rest of my life".
Liam and Kate began dating in 2022. They were first seen in matching Halloween costumes that year, with Kate dressed as Pamela Anderson and Liam sporting a Tommy Lee costume.
