'Liar': Angelina Jolie's stance amid Brad Pitt divorce saga

Angelina Jolie has taken an interesting stance amid the finalisation of her divorce proceedings with ex-husband Brad Pitt.

In an interview with W Magazine, the actress, 49, was asked about pet peeves.

She shared that her pet peeves encompass "so many things... but my pet peeve is somebody who is a liar."

She explained: "Somebody who feels a need to not say the truth or what they want, what they feel. There's a big version of that – and I'm not trying to be heavy about it – but people who say one thing and mean another, who aren't completely who they are. I think a lot of people don't say what they mean."

Her statement comes just days after she finalised her divorce to ex-husband Brad Pitt after eight years of proceedings.

The former couple reached a settlement almost a decade after Jolie first filed for divorce from the Troy star back in 2016.

Jolie's lawyer confirmed the news in a statement to People, saying that the actress is "exhausted" and "relieved," after she first filed for divorce from Pitt back in 2016. 

"More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr Pitt," her lawyer James Simon said.

"She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.

"This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over."

Pitt and Jolie married in 2014, but filed for divorce two years later in 2016 after 11 years together. In 2019, the Hollywood stars were declared legally single, People reports.

The former couple had been involved in a dispute regarding Jolie's sale of her stake in Château Miravel, a French winery they owned.

The A-list pair share children Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 16.
