What is Lil Durk being charged with?

Lil Durk was arrested on Thursday, October 24 on a murder-for-hire charge.

Several of his Only the Family (OTF) associates were also arrested on Thursday. Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston were hit with federal charges in California. They're facing more charges than Durk, including conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, committing murder-for-hire involving a death, and use of a machine gun in a violent crime resulting in death.

What are prosecutors saying Lil Durk did exactly?

Prosecutors have alleged that Lil Durk ordered a hit on a rival rapper in retaliation for the 2020 murder of King Von in Atlanta. The unsealed federal, which doesn't specifically name the rival rapper, states that he ordered five of his OTF associates to kill who many believe to be Quando Rondo in a shooting in Los Angeles in August 2022, which resulted in the death of the rapper's cousin, Saviay'a Robinson.

Durk has been accused of being the mastermind behind the plot and providing funds for ski masks, rental cars, and hotel rooms used in the attempted hit on Quando Rondo's life. Records from his cellphone show that he reportedly texted one of the OTF associates arrested, "Don't book no flights under no names involved wit me." His credit cards are believed to have been linked to flights booked by the defendants.

Additionally, prosecutors have claimed that Durk booked a private jet to Italy after his associates were arrested. He was apprehended just an hour before the flight was scheduled.
